Screening of Raymond Depardon’s film: “Peasant Profiles, Chapter 2: Everyday Life”

The second documentary in a long-term trilogy (alongside ‘Profiles of Farmers: The Approach’ (2001) and ‘Profiles of Farmers: Modern Life’ (2008)), depicting the simple lives of farmers in contemporary southern France.
In Lozère, Ardèche and Haute-Loire, we meet several families from the rural world.
Young farmers are settling in these mid-mountain regions.
At the same time, many farms are being converted into second homes.
Issues surrounding the transfer of family assets are having an impact on everyday life.
By confronting the passage of time, Raymond Depardon pays tribute to these men and women who risk being consigned to oblivion.
